The Project

SAFARI seeks to expand the range of 2D materials by leveraging graphene research while developing safety and sustainable manufacturing process. SAFARI focuses on the combination of MXenes and graphene, taking advantage of their unique properties such as thermal stability and electrical conductivity. This combination of materials holds promise for a variety of applications including biosensors, conductive inks and EMI shielding, in line with the graphene leader's ambition to explore a variety of applications in industry.

Continuing the Graphene EU Mission

The SAFARI project builds on the collaborative work of the Graphene Flagship, which aims to advance Europe's strategic autonomy in technologies based on graphene and other 2D materials. SAFARI is participating on the Graphene EU Mission by developing new 2D materials that address the challenges of sustainability and safety, while also expanding and exploring a range of applications developing new materials and procesess.
