At the Coatings2026 Conference, a featured poster presentation from Creative Nano PC, presented by Kata Berkesi, highlighted the development of $Ni/Ti_3C_2T_x$ MXene nanocomposite coatings. These advanced coatings are produced through electrochemical deposition using a boric acid-free electrolyte.
This work showcases SAFARI’s efforts to improve the sustainability of advanced coating processes by reducing the use of hazardous chemicals and aligning process development with Safe-and-Sustainable-by-Design (SSbD) principles.
The resulting nanocomposite coatings demonstrate enhanced electrochemical properties, offering promising potential applications in sensing technologies and energy-related systems. Overall, this contribution beautifully illustrates SAFARI’s integrated approach to combining materials innovation with safer and more sustainable process engineering.
