SAFARI EU Project Holds 30-Month Consortium Meeting in Spain

Pontevedra, Spain – May 12-13, 2025

The SAFARI consortium successfully convened its 30-month meeting at the AIMEN Technology Centre in Pontevedra, Spain. Hosted by AIMEN, the two-day meeting brought together project partners to review progress and plan the final phase of the project.

Key highlights included presentations and discussions on:

• Functionalization of MXenes 
• Hybridization of Graphene/MXenes 
• Selection of the most promising MXenes for end-use applications based on their properties and Safe and Sustainable by Design (SSbD) criteria

Partners also reviewed advancements in production, safety, sustainability, integration, and exploitation activities.

The meeting concluded with clear next steps and strong momentum as the project enters its final stage.
